Halloween preparations by Lauren Conrad

Halloween preparations by Lauren Conrad

I’ve designed many different Halloween costumes over the years, but they have mostly all had varying amounts of tulle and glitter in common. This year I wanted to depart from the cutesy costumes of Halloweens past and step into something a little more… spooky. Inspired the classic horror flick, I channeled my inner Hitchcock character and created my best Melanie Daniels from The Birds. As seen on the movie poster, my costume depicts the famous bird attack that leaves Ms. Daniels terrified and full of bird scratches. I even bribed a little birdie to stand in as my sidekick.

It’s safe to say that this little bird was way cuter than the ones attacking my character in the actual movie! Now let’s go trick-or-treating… XO Lauren

Lauren Conrad | Redbook Magazine

Lauren Conrad for Redbook Magazine

Lauren is the covergirl for Redbook Magazine this October!

If it seems like anything you can do, Lauren Conrad can do better — well, we understand. Take her trick for improving the seemingly unimprovable charity giveaway: “When doing a closet clean-out, make separate piles of stuff and send to appropriate locations [instead of] putting everything into one trash bag. There’s Dress for Success for work pieces and places that give nicer dresses to girls going to prom.”

But the biggest misconception about Lauren, according to Lauren herself: “It’s really funny to me when people have this idea that I have things very put together. My life is a bit of a mess, and I don’t broadcast that, but I like it that way.” That revelation might come as a surprise given that she has built a whole empire around making life as pretty as possible — from a clothing line for Kohl’s to eight best-selling books, including style and entertaining manuals.

Lauren Conrad x HelloFresh

Lauren Conrad x HelloFresh

Lauren Conrad is the next face for HelloFresh!!!

If you spent a majority of your teenage years watching Lauren Conrad thrive in Los Angeles, then you probably know that The Hills is being revived. You’re probably also aware that LC won’t be on the revival. Deep breaths, everyone. I know it’s a total bummer, but the reality star has been keeping busy with other projects — and you can get involved with one of them. More specifically, Conrad partnered with HelloFresh to create meals that you can have delivered to your doorstep. With that being said, Lauren Conrad’s HelloFresh menu will give you the LC fix that you’re going to miss once the revival airs.

According to a press release by MTV, the revival of The Hills will be called The Hills: New Beginnings — and it’s expected to premiere in 2019. However, Conrad will be stealing the spotlight far before then. The fashionista-gone-foodie will have three recipes featured on HelloFresh’s “Capsule Menu” in September and November 2018, and January 2019 — so get hungry. Each month will highlight a specific meal that Conrad loves, and you can check them out below:

September: Sweet-as-Honey Chicken
November: Cauliflower Stir-Fry Bowls
January: Southwestern Chicken Tacos

MTV is reportedly considering a ‘Hills’ reboot without Lauren Conrad

MTV is reportedly considering a 'Hills' reboot without Lauren Conrad

MTV is reportedly thinking about a “Hills” reboot.
The show was a spin-off of “Laguna Beach.”
If it were to be brought back, star Lauren Conrad would reportedly not return.

“The Hills” might be coming back to MTV, but there’s one sad catch. Sources told Us Weekly that MTV is considering a “Hills” reboot without the show’s star, Lauren Conrad. “The rest of the crew is all still friends besides her,” one source said. “Everyone else is down to do it.”

The hit reality show, which aired from 2006 to 2010, was a spin-off of “Laguna Beach” and followed Conrad as she pursued a fashion career. It chronicled her life and relationship with friends Audrina Patridge, Whitney Port, Lo Bosworth, and Heidi Montag as the crew partied, worked, and dated in Los Angeles. Conrad and Montag famously had a falling out due to Montag’s now-husband Spencer Pratt. It was filled with dramatic fights and memorable quotes, like Conrad’s iconic “homeboy wore combat boots to the beach” line when Justin Bobby ditched Patridge.

But Conrad eventually left in the middle of season five to pursue her career. Her former “Laguna Beach” co-star Kristin Cavallari replaced her for season six. Without Conrad, the show was quickly canceled. Patridge and Port both told Us that they’d be willing to reunite. “I’m not opposed to it,” Patridge said. “It would really depend on what it was going to be. So, we’ll see.” Port admitted that it would be “hard” but “it’d definitely be something fun.”

Conrad has since gone on to become a successful fashion designer and lifestyle blogger.
